Resonance group meeting No 3 took place on 28th March 2019 in Ferrara, coordinated by Centoform and University of Ferrara. The event was held during “Forum Clust-ER BUILD – Edilizia e Costruzioni”, regional Association of building experts, which involves over 70 associates among research centers and Universities, SMEs, higher education centers, big industries, industrial associations, associations of professionals, public administration, Emilia-Romagna Region, Emilia-Romagna High Technology Network.
Meeting covered presentation of the training program draft (draft syllabus for diagnosis expert training) related to the new professional profile of “Building Diagnosis Expert”. The syllabus is meant to be adopted by the participant organizations and to be implemented in courses for the following target groups: students either in university or at 3rd level education courses (ITS, IFTS); trainees in professional courses (young graduates/chartered surveyors, unemployed); employed in building and construction companies either architects, engineers, technicians. Participants discussed about the project aim and core competences of diagnosis expert in relationship with the regional and national context. All participants agreed about the necessity to update both regional and national qualification framework in order to involve knowledge, skills and competencies of a “Diagnosis expert”.
Moreover, all participants agreed about the need to support new training paths and competencies updating in the field of diagnosis for existing buildings interventions with particular reference to the following themes: earthquake Hazard and Risk management; energy efficiency; facility management.
The third resonance group took place within the framework of the “Three Restoration and Cultural Heritage Days” promoted by the University of Ferrara, Department of Architecture in ccoperation with Ferrara Technopole, Emilia-Romagna Region, the “Salone Internazionale del Restauro, Dei Musei e delle Imprese culturali e creative”, Remtech Expo and Clust-ER BUILD. The “Three Restoration and Cultural Heritage Days” took place annually and is the mid-season event preceding the “Salone Internazionale del Restauro, Dei Musei e delle Imprese culturali e creative” and Remtech Expo.
Participants suggested to share the results of the DIAGNOSIS project within the partnership of other founded projects such as “eBIM: existing Building Information Modeling per la gestione dell’intervento sul costruito” and “InSPiRE – Integrated technologies for Smart Buildings and Predictive maintenance” founded within POR FESR 2014-2020 Emilia-Romagna programme. The main objectives of the projects are the application of Heritage BIM to some demonstration cases in order to implement (TRL 6) the INCEPTION platform from one hand, and integrated technologies for building monitoring and development of BIM based solutions.
These projects are developed within public-private partnerships and with reference to both the S3 Emilia-Romagna Smart Specialization Strategy and the strategic objectives of the Cust-ER BUILD.
