21-25 May 2018 – Short-term joint staff training event in Poland (C3)

Warsaw, 21^st to 25^th May 2018 – Intensive training for project partners. Over the five days course the partners exchanged knowledge and experiences, learned from each other, and debated about how to develop curriculum and training methodologies on specific topics concerning the geomatics and remote sensing and 3D models linked to diagnosis process.

In particular, Piotr Bartosiak gave presentations on:

practical applications laser scanning for buildings diagnostics. The presentation was divided into several parts: theoretical intro, practical application of the laser scanner at the Faculty building, data treatment and case studies. Partners discussed on course program on laser scanning;
practical applications photogrammetric for buildings diagnostics. The presentation was divided into four parts: theoretical intro, practical application of the photogrammetric at the Faculty building, data treatment and case studies.

Anna Al Sabouni – Zawadzka gave lecture on assessment of moisture content in structural timber with practical application of the chosen equipment. Partners discussed on course program on photogrammetric and timber diagnostics.

Grzegorz Adamczewski, Jarosław Medyński, Kamil Załęgowski presented lectures and presentations of chosen equipment for diagnostics specialist (as previously lectures were divided in parts: theoretical intro, practical application at the Faculty building, data treatment, case studies). The following tools were presented: Ultrasonic testing (UPV), Impact – Echo method (IE), Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR), Infrared Thermography (IR), Schmidt hammer applications, layer thickness measurements, construction geometry measurements, Construction durability diagnostics – chloride and CO₂ aggression, Carbonation measurements of concrete, humidity measuring equipment, Complementary non destructive methods (NDT) for concrete, IR diagnostics of bridge deck hydro insulating materials.

Moreover, Partners participated in the visit to the Old Town in Warsaw and Museum of Warsaw – Department of Heritage Protection. Partners discussed rebuilding and restoration of Warsaw Old Town.
